Envelope Box

This series of boxes was developed for the DIY stores of B&Q in England. It comprises 8 different board boxes in different sizes. The challenge in this project was to create an iconic shape for the everyday storage box. Those familiar with the world of plastic design know the challenge of giving an aesthetic distinction to trapeze shaped boxes, without compromising their strength and efficiency. The use of the envelope cardboard folding shape was effective as it added a familiar and memorable touch, using the trapeze shape in an original way.
